| North Park Craft Mafia
Since 2007, The San Diego North Park Craft Mafia has been making San Diego a crafty-er place. With two Holiday Hit Lists, a Spring Line Up, many Sunday Crafty Sundays, Crafty Conspiracy-Craft Nights and numerous CW6 San Diego Living TV segments, the SD North Park Craft Mafia has been busy with Organized Crafting. Armed with specialized scissors and various crafting tools, people are now getting the crafty picture! Reliable sources say that the Mafiosas have been spotted here in North Park at this year at the North Park Festival of the Arts!! Make sure to stop by and meet the crew and see their Spring Line Up of Usual Suspects. The Mafia hand picked participants of the Spring Line Up to make sure that everything meets their standards! |

| Hands On Art Activity
The “Hands-On Arts” section is a crowd favorite! Kids are given the opportunity to participate in
a variety of interactive arts related activities all geared to teach and inspire young minds to explore their own artistic creativity! This year, The Rare Hare Studios, Young Audiences of San Diego, McKinley Elementary Parent Teacher Club, and Outside the Lens will provide hands-on projects for kids and their parents to enjoy together. Enjoy origami making lessons, learn how to craft with recycled items, engage in multi-media and photography and take part in other fun interactive arts projects. |

| Ray Street Arts
Peruse down Ray Street where artisans display and sell their amazing creations from every imaginable medium from Skate demonstrations to Plein Air Paint Show. Ray Street will take you into the wonderful bohemian world of the real-life artist’s community as Ray Street artists and visionaries roll out the red carpet for festival goers to enjoy a dazzling array of art demonstrations, original creations, and hands-on activities. Witness the magic of the art at inception with special oil, pastel, and metalwork demonstrations from local artists. Or learn for yourself the tips and techniques used by professional artists with hands-on painting, design and building activities and classes hosted by obr Architecture and the San Diego Art Department. Unleash your own inner artist and delve into the wildly popular “Street” Chalk project and mural collaboration. |
| Quick Draw Event - "Plein Air" Painting Project
Registration for artists will begin at 9:30am - 10:00am at San Diego Art Department (SDAD) on Ray Street (all artists welcome to participate). The public is invited to watch participating artists during the Quick Draw event complete a "Plein air" painting within a two hour time frame from 10am - Noon. Artists will be within walking distance of the Art Department, giving onlookers the opportunity to watch any or all the painters while the work is being done. See the scenes and how the artists interpret them. Smell the wet paint and get caught up in the excitement of watching a painting come to
life before your eyes.
The paintings, completed at Noon, will be framed by each artist and displayed for public viewing on easels in front of SDAD. The works will be judged at 1pm by Stuart Burton. The wet paintings will be on sale from 1:00pm - 6pm during the festival. For more information about the San Diego
